Nawab – the Spice of Life!

When vacationing in VA Beach it’s easy to stay and eat at the oceanfront, but this restaurant is definitely worth the short drive. It’s nicely decorated with earth tones and linen tablecloths. The service is fast and friendly. This is one place where I will order the lunch buffet. I usually don’t like buffets because the quality of the food is usually bad or bland. Not at Nawab, their food is fresh and seasoned to perfection. I’ve never been disappointed. Their buffet is so reasonable, it only costs
$9.95 – Monday-Friday 11:30am – 2:30pm, and on Saturday & Sunday from 12:00pm – 3:00pm $10.95.
Some of my favorite dishes are their lentils, fresh vegetable fritters, basmati rice flavored with saffron and cardamom, chicken curry, and their fresh Naan Bread is amazing. I love the flavors of India; tumeric, chili peppers, curry, cumin, cinnamon, cloves and the health benefits they provide. 
Health side note: Tumeric is known for it’s cancer fighting properties and cinnamon stimulates your pancreas to fight diabetes.
For dessert you should try the coconut rice pudding! And after your meal, on your way out you will noticed a bowl of fennel by the door, make sure you take a spoonful because it’s wonderful for digestion.
