I found a new store that offers two of my most favorite things, wine & art.

While visiting and shopping near Daytona Beach Florida, my friend and I went to the Altamonte Springs Mall and discovered a new wine/painting party store call the Winey Wench. It’s a really fun store that offers a large variety of sweet and fruity wines. If you like Moscato and Merlot you will find a wine you like here. My friend and I were warmly invited to sample for free six of the stores most popular wines plus three of their delicious wine slushies by Jared (who reminds me of Captain Jack Sparrow).  The wines were easy to drink and I enjoyed all of them. After sampling them Jared brought out a wine I had never tried before called Mamamango, it’s a sparkling wine with a combination of Moscato and mango. It’s sweet but not too sweet and if you close your eyes while drinking it you can easily picture yourself on a remote beach in the Caribbean. This wine would pair well as an aperitif with parmesan cheese and grapes, the salt in the parmesan will compliment the sweetness of the wine and the grapes will highlight the mango. It would also pair well as a main dish with Jerk Chicken. Used as a dessert wine I think this would be wonderful with a smooth and creamy vanilla bean ice cream. This wine could also be served alone as a digestif.

 

This store also offers painting classes and painting parties. Prices are $30 each or parties of 15 or more at $25 per person. Take a look at their gallery >>.  Painting and drinking wine, I can’t think of better way to spend an evening.
