Wine Chilling Guide

Wine temperature matters

These are the preferred degrees you should serve your wine:

Sparkling wine: 45 to 50 degrees
Dry White or Blush wine: 45 to 50 degrees
Red wine: 65 degrees
Sweet red & white wine: 40 degrees
Fortified wines: 62 degrees

But you can alter these recommendations in the following circumstances:

  • If your wine tastes too much like alcohol chill it a little more and it will taste less alcoholic.
  • If your wine tastes too bland warm it up a little and it will bring out the flavors and aromas.
  • If you bought a cheep wine keep it at a cooler temperature but keep in mind that the cooler the wine the less nose it will have.
  • The most important thing to remember is to enjoy the moment
